KAREN MC DERMOTT and Monique Mulligan of Serenity Press took out a bronze award at the 2017 AusMumpreneur Awards in the Global Brand category in Sydney last month.
The AusMumpreneur Awards, presented by The AusMumpreneur Network, celebrate and recognise Australian mums in business achieving outstanding success in areas such as business excellence, product development, customer service and digital innovation.
The awards are designed to recognise the growing number of women who successfully balance motherhood and business in a way that suits their life and family.
“To win third place in the global category was a wonderful affirmation that Serenity Press is growing in the right direction,” Ms McDermott said. “All our hard work is paying off.”
Ms Mulligan added, “Like all other small business, we’ve had challenges to overcome, but this year we’ve seen great success by running a writers’ retreat in an Irish Castle and attending the London Book Fair.
“We’ve followed our passion to build this from scratch, and winning this award just reminds us that we’re on the right track.”
The winners of the 2017 AusMumpreneur Awards were announced at a glamorous gala dinner at Doltone House in Sydney on August 25.
