Serenity Press acquires Celtic collection

SERENITY PRESS has acquired Australian/New Zealand rights to a collection of Celtic fairy tales by UK author Jane Talbot.

The collection, to be published in 2019, will feature feminist retellings of fairy tales and folklore for a crossover Young Adult/New Adult market, and will be illustrated by Australian artist Lorena Carrington.

Serenity Press publisher Monique Mullligan said the collection is an exciting addition to its list, which includes Vasilisa the Wise and Other Tales of Brave Young Women by Kate Forsyth, also illustrated by Carrington (December 2017).

‘Jane’s book will complement our growing range of titles in this genre, and should be read by anyone with an interest in folklores and fairy tales.’

Talbot’s most recent book, The Faerie Thorn, has been dramatized by Big Telly Theatre in the UK.
